There are only Eight Mathematical Practice Standards. EASY, right? Below I have found 4 different ways to post it on your walls to help students. Don’t forget to check out reference pages at the bottom. Don’t get caught up in all the strange things you see online or in textbooks. Common Core mathematics is a way to approach teaching so that students develop a mathematical mindset and see math in the world around them. We are making problem-solvers. No matter what your objectives, textbook, or grade level, the eight mathematical practice standards are a guide to good math instruction.
