As I have sat back and watched all the students, teachers and parents struggle during this current educational situation, I ponder on how I can assist. One of my nieces shared her frustration of how her third- grade twins had two different teachers, two different curriculums with 5 new types of technology to learn in order to get her children through this school year. Upon hearing her grief, I immediately knew how to support her. Homeschool! I have backed it for years and even created my own Online High School. So let’s do it!
Steps:
- Choose materials for appropriate grade level. Several available on Amazon or check out the pinterest site below. If you are planning to return to the school system make sure you get through math requirements for your grade level.
- Set up a schedule that best fits your child. I will attach some possibilities below but also check out pinterest for ideas.
- Make sure you are aligned with the current grade standards if you are college bound or returning to school system
- Add Christian-based learning by starting with a Bible Study or Verse each morning
- Connect you with other homeschool parents via facebook or in your town.
